Requirements
- Graduate of an approved program in speech-language pathology required
- Registered with the College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Ontario required
- Recent clinical experience in the areas of adult and geriatric swallowing and communication disorders, including conducting and interpreting Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies.
- Completion of a Dysphagia continuing education course will be required for new graduates
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to set priorities and work effectively in a fast paced environment.
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an interprofessional team
- Possess comprehensive assessment, treatment, and documentation skills
- Regular attendance is required
- All staff have received all required doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada
- The successful external applicant is required to provide the applicable criminal record check, as requested by Human Resources, in accordance with federal and provincial legislation. Valid criminal record checks are in original format and dated with two months from date of conditional offer from CMH.

- Keyboarding skills and knowledge of Meditech and Cerner/Oracle systems a definite asset
Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, consultation, and treatment of a variety of swallowing and communication disorders to inpatient adults in our medicine and surgical programs as well as ICU and Emergency departments.
- Contribute to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
