About The Position

This role involves designing and delivering personalized speech-language interventions to help patients regain their voice, communication skills, and swallowing safety. The Speech Language Pathologist will empower patients and their families through clear education and compassionate counseling, document patient progress with precision for high-quality clinical records, and facilitate a smooth transition back to daily life by creating comprehensive discharge plans and connecting patients with vital community support programs.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Indiana Board of Speech-Language Pathology Audiology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Speech language pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued. License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Speech language pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued. License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Completed Clinical Fellowship Year and hold full certification.
  • Experience evaluating infant feeding and swallowing disorders
  • Experience in infant feeding (dysphagia) preferred
  • Experience providing feeding recommendations, using thickeners, various bottles and nipples for breastfeeding or bottle feeding issues
  • Experience working with language disorders, phonological disorders, fluency disorders, and using AAC devices
