About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026-2027 school year in Cary, NC. This role involves helping students overcome communication barriers. Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCs) and an active NPI number
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a school-based setting
  • Ability to pass background clearances, including fingerprinting for preschool settings

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of experience in a school-based setting preferred
  • Experience with state-level Medicaid billing registries

Responsibilities

  • Administer assessments and interpret data to distinguish between language disorders and dialectal differences, communicating findings clearly to families and teams.
  • Design and deliver high-quality therapy in individual and group sessions using creative resources to drive measurable student progress.
  • Manage the end-of-year IEP process within state systems, ensuring all services and eligibility determinations adhere to IDEA and Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) frameworks.
  • Partner with educators and parents while maintaining adaptability regarding scheduling and school assignments.
