About The Position

Join Therapy Care as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or SLP CFY and become part of a dynamic and supportive team. We specialize in a comprehensive CF mentorship program, offering frequent opportunities to collaborate with your CF mentor, participate in rounding and professional development meetings, and attend social events with other clinicians. We have a large lending library and prioritize collaboration between experienced clinicians and those new to the field. We are looking for a remarkable team player with excellent communication skills and a passion for learning and providing exceptional care. This role involves providing direct therapy for children birth-3 with speech and language delays, collaborating with other professionals (e.g., OT), completing annual re-evaluations, and participating in the IFSP team. You will have access to unlimited CEUs and bi-monthly training opportunities.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program.
  • Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License - or eligible to obtain.
  • Illinois Professional Educator's License (PEL) - or eligible to obtain.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Passion for learning and providing exceptional care.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Speech Pathologist or SLP CFY.
  • Experience with children birth-3 with speech and language delays.
  • Experience collaborating with other professionals and co-treating (e.g., OT).
  • Experience completing annual re-evaluations and being part of the IFSP team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, fluency, and social communication skills.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment findings and student needs.
  • Provide direct intervention services to students with various communication disorders and delays.
  • Collaborate with educators to integrate speech and language goals into the academic curriculum.
  • Educate and empower students, families, and caregivers on techniques for improving communication and language skills.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans.
