About The Position

AnthroMed Education is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in Ellicott City Schools for the 2026–2027 school year. This position involves working with a blended high school caseload, including students with a wide range of communication needs and students with severe to profound communication impairments within life skills programming. The ideal candidate will enjoy collaborative environments and have experience supporting students with Autism and AAC systems. The role offers direct and indirect speech-language services, assessment, IEP goal development, documentation, collaboration with various teams, and utilization of AAC systems. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders
  • Active Maryland Department of Health (MD DOH) Speech-Language Pathologist License or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Ability to work onsite in a school setting

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder populations
  • Experience utilizing AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) systems
  • Prior school-based experience preferred
  • Experience supporting students with significant communication impairments or life skills programming

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language services to high school students with varying communication needs
  • Support students with mild to severe communication disorders, including students in autism and life skills programs
  • Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and maintain required documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, special educators, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Utilize and support AAC systems when appropriate
  • Participate in IEP meetings and school-based problem-solving teams
  • Deliver services aligned with district and state guidelines
