About The Position
Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a PRN Speech Language Pathologist to join their multidisciplinary team in the Day Neuro Clinic. This program focuses on helping patients with acquired brain injuries and co-morbidities (aphasia, cognitive communication deficits, motor speech disorders, dysphagia) achieve their highest level of independence and community reintegration. Patients are treated for six hours a day, Monday through Friday. Experience with cognitive rehab, TBI, and CVA is required. The ideal candidate will be creative, innovative, flexible, and a strong team player.
Requirements
- Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
- Cognitive rehab, TBI and CVA experience required.
- Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
Nice To Haves
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association or eligibility for Certification pending professional experience (CFY - Clinical Fellowship Year) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist a multidisciplinary team in the Day Neuro Clinic.
- Treat patients with acquired brain injuries and co-morbidities including aphasia, cognitive communication deficits, motor speech disorders, dysphagia.
- Focus on return to highest level of independence possible and community reintegration.
- Participate in a program that treats patients six hours a day, Monday through Friday.
