Speech Language Pathologist - Canton, MI
About The Position
FOX Rehabilitation is expanding in Canton, MI, and is seeking dedicated, licensed Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide exceptional one-on-one care to older adults in their homes or within Senior Living Communities. Utilizing the Geriatric House Calls™ model, you will help patients enhance their mobility, independence, and overall quality of life. This role is situated within partner Senior Living Communities such as StoryPoint Canton, Bickford Canton, and StoryPoint Livonia. The position is ideal for SLPs who value autonomy, flexibility, and achieving meaningful patient outcomes, with the freedom to manage their own schedules and build strong patient relationships. Clinicians may also integrate telehealth and virtual care, offering greater flexibility, improved continuity of care, and the ability to serve more patients. This is a high-impact SLP role designed to positively influence the lives of the communities served.
Requirements
- Valid Speech Language Pathology license in the state(s) of practice, or eligibility to obtain
- Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program
- Basic computer and EMR proficiency
- Current CPR certification
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA CCC)
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one Speech Language Pathology to older adults wherever they call home (Private residences, Senior Living Communities, Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care)
- Perform evaluations, develop individualized plans of care, and deliver evidence-based treatment
- Deliver therapy sessions that support patient wellness, longevity, mobility, and functional independence
- Document effectively within FOX’s EMR system in accordance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PTs, OTs, SLPs, and Fitness Specialists
- Educate patients, caregivers, and senior living staff to promote safety, function, and aging in place
- Provide telehealth / virtual care when appropriate to extend access and flexibility
