Requirements

Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from an accredited college or university.
Valid Texas license as a Speech Language Pathologist granted by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
National Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) granted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Expert knowledge in the evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of communication disorders using accepted measurements.
Strong student behavior management skills and exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and organizational communication skills.

Responsibilities

Review IEPs to ensure 100% implementation of top-quality speech therapy services.
Collaborate with parents, general/special educators, and interventionists to build instruction-aligned IEPs.
Ensure 100% compliance with Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) timelines by tracking Special Education Student Rosters weekly.
Schedule, facilitate, and document Annual and Re-Evaluation ARDs prior to due dates.
Partner with Diagnosticians, Licensed Specialists in School Psychology (LSSPs), and Occupational Therapists for dual ARDs and evaluations, reporting comprehensive results within the Texas Education Agency (TEA) timeframe.
Conduct formal speech and language initial evaluations and re-evaluations, demonstrating extensive knowledge in selecting and interpreting assessment tools in alignment with IDEA, TEA guidelines, and licensing boards.
Maintain daily Therapy Notes, Tracking Logs, ARD Logs, and Evaluation Logs.
Monitor and complete quarterly progress reports and submit quarterly therapy logs to your manager.
Promote and efficiently implement Response to Intervention (RTI) across various tiers at the school level, offering high-fidelity intervention recommendations to the campus RTI team.
