About The Position

Intermediate District 287 is seeking Speech Language Pathologists for summer openings. The district serves students in grades K-12 and transition-age students (18-22 years old) from 12 member districts in the west metro area. Intermediate District 287 provides a variety of services and specialized programs, with a focus on setting IV special education, to meet the diverse needs of its students. The district emphasizes a trauma-informed approach, comprehensive support services with dedicated teams (School Social Workers, Psychologists, Counselors, Behavior Intervention Specialists, Student Safety Coaches), small class sizes (average of 6-8 students), and a commitment to diversity by hiring and retaining racially diverse and racially conscious staff.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
  • Current teaching license in Speech Language Pathology issued by the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB).
  • Eligibility for an American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association Clinical Fellowship, or the CCC certification, is required.

Responsibilities

Benefits
