About The Position
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) PRN position at CHRISTUS Health Rehabilitation Hospital is a vital role focused on evaluating and treating individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. The hospital features 36 private rooms and aims to increase capacity for rehabilitation patients. The position is part of a meaningful mission to make communities healthier.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current SLP license and ASHA certification.
- CPR certification required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in acute or rehab setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy goals.
- Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams on care coordination.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
