About The Position

The Hospitals of Providence Rehabilitation Hospital East in El Paso, Texas, is a dedicated inpatient rehab facility focused on helping patients regain independence after serious illness, injury, or surgery. It offers 24/7 availability and comprehensive rehab services, including intensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy for individuals recovering from stroke, brain injury, orthopedic trauma, and other complex conditions. As a PRN Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) joining the team, you will contribute to making communities healthier by making a remarkable difference in the lives of those served.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current SLP license and ASHA certification.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong communication skills and clinical judgement required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in acute or rehab setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, supporting patient recovery and communication improvement.
• Assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy goals.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams on care coordination.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
