Adoration Home Health is seeking a passionate, dedicated Home Health SLP to join their team in Milledgeville, GA, covering areas including Baldwin, Putnam, Hancock, Wilkinson, Washington, and Bibb. This role provides expert, patient-centered care in a supportive and fulfilling environment. Requirements

  • Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
  • A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
  • Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
  • Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
  • Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
  • Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy
