Requirements

  • Minimum of one of the following is required: Current Montana Speech Language Pathology license, or Graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathology program with the ability to obtain Montana licensure within 30 days of hire
  • Current HS AED CPR or BLS HCP certification, or ability to obtain within six months of hire
  • Ability to connect to the internet for daily data exchange, as applicable
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Sound professional judgment when handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn additional systems as needed

Responsibilities

  • Develop individualized speech and language treatment plans that improve communication, swallowing, and daily function
  • Provide care to patients across the lifespan and in a variety of care settings, offering strong clinical diversity
  • Perform evaluations, reassessments, and ongoing treatment planning that support measurable progress
  • Collaborate closely with providers, nursing staff, and rehabilitation peers to coordinate patient-centered care
  • Manage your caseload with autonomy while remaining supported by a collaborative team
  • Complete admissions, daily documentation, progress notes, and discharge evaluations with clear and appropriate goals
  • Support patients through meaningful stages of recovery and experience the impact of your care firsthand
  • Deliver efficient, high-quality therapy services while maintaining strong clinical standards in a Critical Access Hospital setting
  • Participate in department, facility, and community initiatives that strengthen local access to care
  • Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to keep care aligned and responsive
  • Provide care that honors privacy, dignity, and the unique needs of every patient
