About The Position

This role involves conducting comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations for a range of ages and communication needs. The Speech Language Pathologist will recommend treatment goals tailored to each child's unique profile and write clear, jargon-free evaluation reports for families. The position also requires direct communication with families throughout the evaluation process and staying current on neuroaffirming assessment practices.

Requirements

• Active Connecticut SLP license (or eligibility) and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations across communication disorders and differences
• A neuroaffirming lens — you don't pathologize difference, you clarify need
• Comfort working with multilingual and bicultural families
• Sharp, honest clinical writing
• A low tolerance for rigid, compliance-driven models of care

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations across a range of ages, presentations, and communication modalities
• Recommend treatment goals grounded in each child's actual communication profile
• Write evaluation reports that are clear, honest, and free of jargon
• Hand off completed evaluations to the practice manager for clinician assignment
• Communicate directly and warmly with families throughout the evaluation process
• Stay current on neuroaffirming assessment practices and help shape how Sayit evaluates going forward
