The Speech Language Pathologist II provides direct patient and family centered care while under the direction of the Rehabilitation Leadership Team. This includes, but is not limited to, evaluation, assessment, and treatment planning based on functional needs. Works with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and adjust treatment plan as necessary. May participate in department-wide process improvement initiatives and program development. This Speech Language Pathologist position is a Level II role and requires at least one year of professional clinical experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience
  • Master’s degree in Communicative Disorders or equivalent
  • Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards and respect
  • Advance care through development of new ideas and technology
  • Promote teamwork to achieve CHOC’s mission
  • Understand and exceed customer expectations and effectively solve complex patient care and organizational problems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal relationship and collaboration skills
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Speech Language Pathology – Board of Speech Language Pathology, Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical Affiliation in Pediatrics
  • Previous experience with feeding/swallowing
  • VitalStim certification

Responsibilities
