Here's what you’ll need to join our team: Education: Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program. Licensure: Active license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Texas. Certification: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). Language Proficiency: Bilingual skills required. Your Role: As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll play a vital role in helping students overcome communication challenges and thrive in their educational settings. Here’s how you’ll contribute: Evaluate Needs: Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations to identify students’ needs for specialized therapy services. Communicate Findings: Share evaluation results with parents and district personnel, ensuring clear and compassionate communication. Develop Interventions: Collaborate with the ARD committee to create targeted, evidence-based therapeutic interventions that enhance student performance, participation, and access to education. Provide Therapy: Deliver therapy services directly or supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants in implementing IEP goals. Monitor Progress: Maintain accurate, detailed records of student progress and use data to adjust interventions as needed. Support Team: Participate in ARD meetings, parent conferences, and other relevant discussions to advocate for and support students’ special education programs. Your expertise will empower students to overcome challenges, improve communication skills, and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
  • Active license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Texas.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Bilingual skills required.
