About The Position
Transform Children’s Lives as Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant with The Children's Guild in the Greater Baltimore Area. Part-time and full-time roles available! The Children’s Guild provides comprehensive, individualized education and family services to empower children, families, and communities to thrive. Our schools and programs are hiring dedicated special education jobs. We are looking for passionate professionals committed to child-centered care and staying at the forefront of occupational therapy in educational settings.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Science Disorders
- Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
- Maryland and/or Washington DC license or eligibility
- Passion for working with children and fostering their growth
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to data-driven, evidence-based practices
Responsibilities
- Empower children to overcome communication challenges by providing diagnostic and therapeutic services in a school setting
- Provide innovative speech and language services in both regular classrooms and in specialized one-on-one or small group sessions
- Complete speech assessments with children who demonstrate a functional inability to perform in an educational environment
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with a dynamic team of educators and professionals
- Create all documentation necessary and communicate with school staff and families in support of students
- Make a lasting impact on student's educational success
