About The Position
The Speech/Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) provides a full range of support duties in the Education Department, primarily addressing the speech therapy needs of a multi-handicapped student population. The position reports to the Special Education Director and/or Education Assistant Director and consults with the Speech/Language Pathologist. It is a non-exempt, hourly, full-time position with working hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, in Canton, Massachusetts.
Requirements
- Certified Speech/Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Massachusetts.
- College degree, with emphasis in education or communication disorders.
- Stamina and physical endurance to work in an exceedingly busy department and manage demanding responsibilities.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to function with minimal to moderate supervision.
Nice To Haves
- ABA experience preferred.
