About The Position

We are hiring a Speech Language Pathologist for an acute care setting at Ascension Saint Joseph in Chicago, IL. This PRN position is responsible for evaluating and treating patients requiring speech-language therapy, performing therapy interventions, educating and counseling patients/families, and maintaining clinical records. The role also involves participating in performance improvement activities and meeting minimum weekend and holiday requirements.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Speech language pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued. License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 1 year of work experience as SLP.
• CFY not offered.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree preferred.
• 1 year of acute care experience.

Responsibilities
