About The Position

Ascension Saint Joseph is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for their Acute Care department in Chicago, IL. This PRN position involves evaluating and treating patients requiring speech-language therapy in an acute care setting, performing therapy interventions using standard techniques, educating and counseling patients/families on treatment and discharge plans, and maintaining clinical records. The role also includes participation in performance improvement activities and meeting minimum weekend and holiday requirements.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Speech language pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued. License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.
Bachelor's degree required.
1 year of acute care experience.
CFY not offered.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree preferred.
