About The Position

The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for performing and documenting initial and ongoing assessments of a patient's condition. This role establishes a plan of care appropriate to identified problems, involving the patient and family according to their capabilities and desires. The Speech-Language Pathologist educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits, plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting, and provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs. This position also supervises and delegates care provided by therapy assistants according to established licensing laws, state regulations, and practice standards. Within the scope of the job, it requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. The role demands the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action, while maintaining and ensuring the confidentiality of patient information and medical records. Requirements

Master's degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders.
Current certification with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies to practice Speech Pathology required.
BLS through the American Heart Association.

Must be able to recognize details such as color and depth within a feet of the observer.
Frequently operates computers, machinery, and other healthcare equipment.
Constantly positions self to complete essential functions.
May be required to wear N95s or PAPRs up to 80% of the shift.
