About The Position

The Speech Language Pathologist role evaluates, plans, and provides therapy for speech/language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Speech Pathology required
  • Valid Indiana Speech Language Pathologist license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence Required
  • Previous SLP experience in an acute care setting
  • Knowledgeable in anatomy/physiology, evaluation and therapy, theoretical concepts and techniques, current materials and technological advances, and new professional trends.

Nice To Haves

  • Video Swallow experienced preferred
  • MBSImp training a plus
  • FEES experience not required but also a plus
  • Level 2 NICU experience a plus or willingness to be trained

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates, plans, and provides therapy for speech/language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Effectively provide quality service to impaired individuals.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, peers, patients, families, physicians, and all internal/external customers.
  • Incorporate a basic understanding of the behaviors, developmental needs, physical needs, emotional needs, and comfort of the child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient.
