About The Position
The Speech Language Pathologist role evaluates, plans, and provides therapy for speech/language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Speech Pathology required
- Valid Indiana Speech Language Pathologist license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence Required
- Previous SLP experience in an acute care setting
- Knowledgeable in anatomy/physiology, evaluation and therapy, theoretical concepts and techniques, current materials and technological advances, and new professional trends.
Nice To Haves
- Video Swallow experienced preferred
- MBSImp training a plus
- FEES experience not required but also a plus
- Level 2 NICU experience a plus or willingness to be trained
Responsibilities
- Evaluates, plans, and provides therapy for speech/language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Effectively provide quality service to impaired individuals.
- Communicate effectively with staff, peers, patients, families, physicians, and all internal/external customers.
- Incorporate a basic understanding of the behaviors, developmental needs, physical needs, emotional needs, and comfort of the child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient.
