About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Pathologists (SLP) - Long Term Care (LTC) for a 13-week travel assignment in Mound City, MO. This position involves working Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, with flexible start times as long as they are consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation. The start time should be before 6 AM and no later than 10 AM, totaling 35 guaranteed work hours per week. The contract is for 13 weeks, starting on 8/3/2026, in Mound City, MO. Weekend work is generally not required, except when a holiday falls within the Monday-Friday schedule, in which case hours can be made up on the weekend.

Requirements

Must have 1 year of SLP experience
New Grads OKAY- as long as a Level II experience and not just a Level I observation experience
LTC or Rehab experience is required
MO State License is required
CCC certified SLP is required
Missouri State License required/Compact Allowed
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently.

Nice To Haves

3 years experience holding active CCS is preferred
Will accept one Reference at time of submission
Must be submitted at the posted rate, if requested rate is higher candidate will be redirected
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association preferred

Responsibilities

Effectively screens/evaluates/rehabilitates patients with communication, cognitive or swallowing disorders and develops appropriate plan of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards.
Utilizes standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.
Assesses patient’s progress and adjusts treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
Evaluates treatment outcomes for effectiveness. Services are modified in relation to patient evaluation and referrals are made in relation to outcomes.
Provides consultation and counseling to patients, as well as families, caregivers and other service providers related to the speech disorders.
Effectively communicates with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.
Provides comprehensive discharge summary of services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements.
Documents all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system and maintains patient records according to company policy.
Accurately records treatment minutes for services provided per all regulatory and clinical requirements.
Participation in required meetings including but not limited to: patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, rehabilitation meetings, etc.
Participate in facility and company required training, in-services and conferences.
Able to obtain any necessary DME or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
Able to supervise and support CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists.
Adherence to ASHA and State Required practice acts, code of conduct, ethics during professional practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Active ASHA and State Licensures.
