About The Position

Speech-Language Pathologist Recruitment for the 2026-2027 school year. As a Speech Language Pathologist you contribute to this mission by evaluating students to determine their functional levels and identify special needs. You will work as part of a team that serves 7,500 students at 14 campuses across Helena.

Requirements

Montana Speech Language Pathologist license at the time of employment.
SLP certification (i.e., Certification of Clinical Competency for Speech Pathology) from an accredited institute.
Climb or balance.
Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Talk or hear.
Stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

Serve as a resource to school staff members in the development of a balanced program for oral communication and speech improvement.
Assist and guide teachers in observing, describing, and referring suspected and identified speech and language impairments.
Provide a thorough assessment and diagnosis of speech, voice and language impairments.
Provide screening to identify speech disability children at regular intervals and at specified levels.
Assist in proper referrals of individuals to agencies and/or specialists in the community.
Provide appropriate individualized programs of therapy to meet individual students' needs and correct existing speech and language impairments.
