About The Position

Stepping Stones Therapy, Inc., a leading pediatric private practice, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to work under the direct supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language therapy services to pediatric clients in an outpatient clinic setting. The SLPA supports the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based interventions for children with communication, language, articulation, social-pragmatic, and feeding-related needs, while maintaining compliance with state regulations and clinic policies.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Valid SLPA registration/license (per state requirements)
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to pass background check and TB clearance (as required)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with pediatric populations preferred
  • Experience in a pediatric outpatient or school-based setting
  • Familiarity with play-based therapy and child-led approaches
  • Experience supporting social skills groups or AAC users
  • Strong classroom management and behavior support skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to pediatric clients as outlined in the supervising SLP’s treatment plans
  • Implement therapy activities targeting: Articulation and phonology, Receptive and expressive language, Pragmatic/social communication, Fluency and voice (as appropriate), AAC support and carryover activities (when applicable)
  • Prepare therapy materials and organize session activities in advance
  • Collect objective data during therapy sessions and document progress accurately
  • Maintain daily treatment notes and submit documentation in a timely manner
  • Follow individualized goals, behavior plans, and therapy protocols established by the supervising SLP
  • Collaborate with supervising SLP regarding client progress, challenges, and goal adjustments
  • Communicate professionally with parents/caregivers regarding session activities and carryover strategies (within scope)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly therapy environment
  • Adhere to HIPAA, FERPA (when applicable), and clinic confidentiality standards
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions as required
