This position independently implements behavior programs as instructed by the behavior coordinator and/or IEP team, and models behavioral programming for staff members who work with students with behavior problems. This role addresses current student needs at Frontier Elementary School. The individual filling this position may be required to change locations to another school if student needs change, which could occur at any time during the school year. The district reserves the right to modify or change the duties or essential functions of this job at any time. The position requires consistent attendance, performance at proficient or higher evaluation standards, and obtaining/maintaining necessary certifications. Responsibilities include implementing behavior plans, assisting with behavior management using Nonviolent Crisis Intervention techniques, observing students for functional behavioral assessments, collecting and charting behavioral data, communicating with school staff and parents, organizing behavioral data for meetings, informing staff of progress and needs, assisting home school staff with behavior programs, and monitoring/consulting on established behavior programs.
