Under the general supervision of the School Principal, the SPED Resource Teacher facilitates student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing specialized instruction using research-based interventions and district curriculum. This role involves documenting teaching and student progress, addressing specific educational needs, and creating a flexible, safe, and optimal learning environment. The teacher will provide feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding student progress, expectations, and goals. Key responsibilities include writing and implementing IEP goals and behavior intervention plans, ensuring timelines are met for meetings and compliance, and collaborating with general education teachers and related service providers to support student progress on IEP goals.
