About The Position
The SPED Aide II position at BLUE RIDGE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT contributes to effective school/public relations by promptly and courteously handling all inquiries from students, staff, and the public. The role aims to promote a positive and uplifting atmosphere for the school.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Fingerprint clearance card issued by the AZ DPS
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with students, staff and the public
- Master Teacher’s ParaEducator Certificate
Nice To Haves
- Special Education experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Life Skills (including dealing with female/male puberty)
- Nursing/keeping medications schedules, watching for signs of seizures and proper use of medical equipment
- Safety of Medically fragile children
- Communication and cooperation with general education teachers and parents
- Sign Language
- Diapering, feeding, potty training, hygiene
- Full time supervision of students
- Paperwork/documentation as requested by teachers
- Escorting students to and from the buses
- Other duties as assigned
