Our Specter Portfolio is currently hiring an Integration and Test IPTL to lead test station development and system integration. As the technical lead for test development, coordination, and qualification events, you will play a critical role in the successful execution of system performance and testing strategies. You will be at the forefront of ensuring a seamless transition to production, delivering optimized test solutions and system enhancements. Join our organization and collaborate with top talent across a variety of engineering disciplines, Chief Engineers, and subject matter experts to enable effective performance testing and data collection for critical components that support our mission. As the I ntegration and Test IPTL, you will be responsible for leading test strategy execution, coordinating with the customer/test sites, test station development, overseeing cross-functional collaboration, and maintaining technical rigor in documentation and execution. You will have the opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring alignment with program goals, driving improvements, and mentoring early-career engineers. This position requires close collaboration across teams, including Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, Test Equipment, and Program Management.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Experience in at least one of the following areas: Mechanical development, integration, and qualification.
  • Structural/Thermal analysis.
  • Mechanisms design and testing.
  • Transition to Production (TTP).
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with government and test agencies.
  • Experience with program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and Risk and Opportunity Management.
  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government-issued security clearance is required prior to start date, with the ability to obtain special program access after start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in STEM.
  • Experience as a subject matter expert in technical briefings, proposals, and failure investigations (FRACAS).
  • Familiarity with tools such as CREO, cPDM, and related analysis software.
  • Knowledge of military systems, tactics, techniques, and procedures, along with DoD customer infrastructure experience.
  • Strong understanding of the Mechanical Engineering Product Development Cycle.
  • Familiarity with system safety, reliability, configuration management, and technical risk mitigation.
  • Experience supporting Integrated Flight Simulation (IFS) development, verification, and validation.
  • Demonstrated ability to champion RTX values and foster team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and execution of test plans and procedures supporting system integration and qualification.
  • Oversee test station development and identify/document potential improvements to optimize test processes.
  • Coordinate and lead efforts with government test centers and customer stakeholders for test execution and risk mitigation.
  • Conduct system performance analysis, data collection, and support system verification efforts.
  • Participate in Failure Investigations and Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes.
  • Ensure technical rigor in all documentation and facilitate the transition to production.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on program processes and best practices across Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Cross-Product Teams (CPTs).
  • Mentor and support the development of earlier-career engineers.
  • Serve as Control Account Manager (CAM) to manage scope and budget, maintain schedules, and provide variance explanations.
  • Prepare and present materials for program reviews, leadership briefings, and technical discussions.
