About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor to join their team in Holyoke MA. This role involves preparing laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, communicating with client office staff, researching and resolving customer and specimen problems, meeting department goals, entering patient data, identifying and labeling specimens, packing and shipping specimens, scrubbing requisitions, and performing special services like spinning, freezing, and splitting specimens. The position is described as performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting, and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment located onsite with one of their client offices.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
1 year or more experience (lab, accessioning, data entry, manufacturing or warehouse)
Comfortable handling biological specimens
Ability to accurately identify specimens
Experience working in a team environment
Strong data entry and organizational skills
High level of attention to detail
Experience with MS Office
Able to lift up to 40lbs.
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

1 year or more of medical or patient facing healthcare experience
