Specimen Processor - Part Time 2nd Shift
About The Position
East Side Clinical Laboratory, a leader in the medical laboratory industry and a Great Place to Work certified employer, is seeking a Specimen Processor to join our growing Specimen Processing Team. We emphasize teamwork and innovation, and are dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive environment. In this role, you will perform a vital part of the patient care process by ensuring laboratory specimens are properly processed, prepared, routed, and stored. You will also recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions, champion safety, compliance, and quality control, and work in a laboratory environment with biological hazards and PPE requirements. This role will have routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI), and employees will be trained on reasonable safeguards and are expected to maintain strict confidentiality.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, centrifuges, and audible alarms.
Nice To Haves
- 1 - 2 years of related experience in clinical laboratory, data entry, or production
- Previous training or experience in specimen collection or processing
