About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor II to join their team in Albany NY. This role involves preparing laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, communicating with client office staff, researching and resolving customer and specimen problems, meeting department activity and production goals, entering patient information accurately and timely, identifying and labeling specimens, packing and shipping specimens, and performing special services like spinning, freezing, and splitting as needed. The position is onsite with one of their client offices and requires a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
1 year or more experience (lab, accessioning, data entry, manufacturing or warehouse)
Comfortable handling biological specimens
Ability to accurately identify specimens
Experience working in a team environment
Strong data entry and organizational skills
High level of attention to detail
Experience with MS Office
Able to lift up to 40lbs.
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

1 year or more of medical or patient facing healthcare experience

Responsibilities

Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
