About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor II to join their team in Chattanooga, TN. This role is crucial in supporting diagnostic testing and drug development solutions. The Specimen Processor will prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, communicate effectively with client office staff, and troubleshoot customer and specimen problems. They will also be responsible for meeting department goals, accurately entering patient data, identifying and labeling specimens, packing and shipping specimens, and performing special services like spinning, freezing, and splitting as needed. The position is onsite with one of Labcorp's client offices and requires a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED or equivalent
Comfortable handling biological specimens
Ability to accurately identify specimens
Experience working in a team environment
Strong data entry and organizational skills
High level of attention to detail
Experience with MS Office
Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Nice To Haves

1 year or more medical or patient facing healthcare experience
1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse

Responsibilities

Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
