About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join their team in Tucker, GA. This is a Casual/Per Diem position, meaning hours will be "as needed" and the start and end times will vary. The role involves preparing laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, unpacking and routing specimens, accurately identifying and labeling specimens, packing and shipping specimens to proper testing facilities, meeting department activity and production goals, properly preparing and storing excess specimen samples, and data entry of patient information. The position also requires resolving and documenting any problem specimens.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blind test

Nice To Haves

• 1 or more years' experience (lab/accessioning, production/manufacturing/warehouse environment)

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
