About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Specimen Processing Team in Englewood, CO. Work Schedule: Monday- Sunday 1st shift as needed. This role acts as a liaison between the lab, clients, and patients, resolving internal and external customer requests via calls, instant messenger, and email communications. The specialist will communicate with customers in a respectful and professional manner, work in multiple databases to research complex issues and questions, and provide customer education and information as needed. Additionally, they will review test forms for accuracy, prepare and triage specimens for analysis, accurately identify and label specimens, pack and ship specimens as necessary, and prepare and store excess specimen samples.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1 year or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory experience
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
  • Comfortable handling biological specimens
  • Ability to accurately identify specimens
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Strong data entry and organizational skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

  • Current or prior Labcorp experience
  • Associates degree or higher
