About The Position

Radeas is looking for an experienced, professional, and outgoing FT Specimen Collector for a time-limited assignment at our Raleigh, NC location. This position requires performing observed specimen collections for male patients, in accordance with our privacy and safety protocols requiring same-sex staff for these observations. Candidates must be able and willing to perform this function as an essential job duty. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to a satisfactory standard. Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Customer Service.
  • Be dependable and extremely well organized.
  • Strong work ethic, commitment to completing assigned tasks and dedicated to high-quality work.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, ability to multitask, and the ability to complete the job without errors.
  • Ability to work with patients in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable and experienced managing interactions with agitated, distressed, or non-compliant individuals in a high-stress clinical environment.
  • Ability to travel between two clinic locations as part of the regular weekly schedule.
  • Driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to both Raleigh, NC locations as scheduled (Required).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all patient paperwork is filled out correctly and all necessary information has been captured at the time of collection.
  • Update and maintain patient information and records, as necessary, while ensuring patients complete privacy, observing HIPAA regulations into laboratory information systems.
  • Perform and follow specimen (urine, blood, and salvia) collection protocols for specimen collection.
  • This position requires performing observed specimen collections for male patients, in accordance with our privacy and safety protocols requiring same-sex staff for these observations. Candidates must be able and willing to perform this function as an essential job duty.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and de-escalate in encounters with distressed, agitated, or non-compliant patients.
  • Monitor and maintain supplies and supply records for all clinic needs. Communicate to lab any supply requests in a timely manner.
  • Securely and safely package specimens for pick up by the lab's courier service.
  • Follow general work protocols regarding breaks and cell phone usage during business hours.
  • Adherence to all clinic and OSHA standards/policies.
