About The Position

Millennium Health LLC is an accredited specialty laboratory that provides medication monitoring and drug testing services to help clinicians make treatment decisions. The Specimen Collector represents Millennium Health and provides care and customer service to patients, clinicians, and the laboratory. This role collects urine and/or oral-fluid specimens, processes and packages them for shipment, and helps coordinate information between practices or clinics and the laboratory. The position is full-time in Sandy, Utah, with the listed weekday schedule. Female candidates are required for observed collections of gender-identified female patients. Driving between multiple facilities may be required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to navigate a smartphone and computer.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to comply with HIPAA, HiTrust, confidentiality, and compliance policies, procedures, and standards.
Ability to comply with administrative, physical, and technical cybersecurity controls.
Female candidates are required for observed collections of gender-identified female patients.

Nice To Haves

At least 6 months of specimen-collector experience or at least 1 year of experience in the medical field directly supporting patients.
At least 2 years of customer-service experience may be considered in place of medical experience.
Medical insurance or billing experience and/or familiarity with medications or diagnostic codes.

Responsibilities

Collect patient urine and/or oral-fluid (saliva) specimens.
Process and package collections for shipping.
Serve as an intermediary between the practice or clinic and the laboratory.
Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information.
Resolve specimen concerns involving billing or patient information in the ordering portal.
Order and maintain collection-supply inventory onsite.
Observe collections for Millennium Health specimens when applicable.
Drive to and from multiple facilities when required.
