Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Technical Editor Specification Writer to join our team in the Strategic Deterrence Systems (SDS) division. This position will be located in Clearfield, UT and supports the Remote Visual Assessment (RVA) program.

Requirements

Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
Requires a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 6 years of relevant experience; or 2 years of experience with a bachelor's degree
Requires experience with MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Requires experience in technical writing/editing, and material review
Must have strong writing, and editing skills, and experience in manipulating grammar
Must be detailed oriented
Must be self-motivated, able to work in a dynamic team environment

Nice To Haves

Active US Government Secret Security Clearance
Knowledge of DoD industry practices
Experience writing, reviewing, and editing CDRLs and accompanying Data Item Description (DID)
Basic understanding of the DoD Guide for Marking Classified Documents and of proper procedures for tracking, storing and cataloging classified documents
Familiarization with Security Classification Guides and ability to align documents to guidance.
Experience with configuration management
Ability to mentor and/or instruct junior writers
Experience with risk management
Minuteman III Weapon System Knowledge and Experience

Responsibilities

Creating, editing, and maintaining high-quality technical documentation to support the development, implementation, and delivery of products and/or services to government.
Researching, writing, and revising documents such as user manuals, maintenance manuals, technical guides, and reports in accordance with government regulations and contract requirements.
Providing technical writing/editing for technical data, ensuring file configuration control, and compliance with the program requirements.
Conducting quality review of materials.
Analyzing documents for erroneous or technical anomalies and aligned with program standards.
