About The Position

The Specialist coordinates activities across multiple divisions and stakeholders to drive specification standardization across indirect categories to support Honda Motor’s business transformation and sustainability initiatives. This position plays a key role in optimizing procurement processes, reducing complexity, and enabling data-driven decision-making across multiple spend categories.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years of experience in indirect procurement, supply chain, or a related technical field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with familiarity in procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba) and data analysis tools such as Excel and Power BI.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively, with a focus on continuous improvement and achieving goals and targets.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with category management teams and suppliers to encourage collaboration and transparency.
Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong sense of purpose. Supports company direction and fosters an environment aligned with Honda’s success while modeling Honda Philosophy principles and Core Values

Responsibilities

Facilitate collaboration between internal (NAIP) and external stakeholders through Specification Development Council forums to align standardization objectives, goals, plans, and outcomes.
Analyze spend, usage patterns, and SKU proliferation to identify duplication and rationalization opportunities.
Partner with data and analytics teams to develop dashboards, reports, and tools to support ongoing standardization tracking.
Research, identify, analyze, and implement improvement opportunities across end-to-end specification standardization processes and other NAIP-related initiatives.
Lead change management efforts to drive adoption of standardized specifications across internal functions.
