About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Specialty Software Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution in San Francisco, CA. This is a hands-on development role with a strong coding focus within a highly visible, strategic program dedicated to building and deploying greenfield Agentic AI solutions. The team is developing AI agents that orchestrate and automate marketing campaign activities. The ideal candidate will be a strong backend Python developer with experience building and supporting microservices-based applications and familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Agentic AI frameworks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience with Python
• 5+ years of experience with Microservices
• 5+ years of experience with API Development/Integration
• 5+ years of experience with MongoDB
• Experience designing and consuming APIs
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI frameworks, and AI orchestration concepts
• Experience working with vector databases
• Must be able to work a hybrid schedule, approximately 3 days per week onsite

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of experience with Agentic AI

Responsibilities

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Specialty Software Engineering
• Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale, or longer-term Specialty Software Engineering challenges
• Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel
• Primarily focus on building, enhancing, and supporting AI agents
• Participate in daily team standups and collaborate closely with developers and architects
