The Specialty Sales Team Leader role is part of a team of specialized consultants who focus on delivering an exceptional guest experience through strong operations, compelling visual merchandising, and building guest relationships. This role involves leading a team of hourly team members in departments such as Apparel and Accessories, Home, Baby, Beauty, and Electronics. The position offers opportunities to develop skills in guest service, retail business fundamentals, inventory management, sales trend analysis, and team leadership. A typical day involves ensuring team members consistently deliver on guest experience commitments, reviewing performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities, and modeling a service-oriented culture. The role also includes planning and executing daily/weekly workloads, leading merchandising efforts, developing and coaching team members, partnering with vendors, and ensuring the sales floor and backroom are well-maintained and organized. Additionally, the Team Leader is responsible for upholding safety and compliance standards, participating in hiring processes, and potentially serving as a Leader on Duty (LOD) to manage store operations during shifts.
