About The Position

The Specialty Sales Representative (SSR) – Pulmonology will manage business within a specific geographical territory, reporting directly to a Regional Sales Director. This role involves detailing specific customers including Pulmonologists, Allergists, Respiratory Therapists, Hospital Pharmacists, select PCPs, and Nurses. The SSR-Pulmonology will sell and promote Grifols’ alpha-one augmentation therapy to exceed financial objectives, executing national sales and marketing strategies and creating territory business tactical plans. Collaboration with home office personnel, the Brand team, and National and Corporate account teams is essential for product sales pull-through. The individual will analyze account and physician sales data, develop territory tactical plans, and provide solutions to grow the business. Proficiency in Microsoft applications and Grifols' customer management system is required, including entering call data. The candidate must be organized, manage multiple tasks/priorities, and manage a defined territory travel/expense budget. Maintaining Company and Industry Compliance Rules is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of the medical industry (Specialty Pharmacy, Home Health, Managed Care, Biologics/Biotech, Pharmaceutical and/or Hospital)
  • Respiratory and Primary care experience preferred
  • A valid driver’s license
  • At least 4 years of experience in pharma, biotech, healthcare or medical sales, marketing and/or sales management
  • Consistently high performer

Responsibilities

  • Manage the business within a specific geographical territory (Includes all of Rhode Island, South Boston, Western Portion of Boston to Worcester, MA, and a small portion of New Hampshire/Dartmouth)
  • Detailing customers: Pulmonologists, Allergists, Respiratory Therapists, Hospital Pharmacist, a few select PCPs, and Nurses
  • Sell and promote Grifols’ alpha-one augmentation therapy to exceed financial objectives within their territory
  • Execute on the National sales and marketing strategy and create a territory business tactical plan to maximize opportunity
  • Work in partnership with home office personnel, the Brand team and the National and Corporate account teams for pull-through of product sales
  • Run the business by analyzing account and physician sales data and creating territory tactical plans and providing solutions to grow the business
  • Use Microsoft applications as well as Grifols' customer management system and be required to enter call data
  • Manage a defined territory travel/expense budget moving toward P/L
  • Maintain Company and Industry Compliance Rules
