The Specialty Pharmacy Technician serves as a key member of the specialty pharmacy team, supporting patients receiving immunoglobulin (IVIG and SCIG) therapy for primary immunodeficiency, secondary immunodeficiency, autoimmune, neurologic, and other specialty disease states. This role coordinates patient onboarding, benefits investigation, prior authorization support, medication fulfillment, nursing coordination, refill management, and ongoing patient engagement to ensure timely access to therapy and optimal treatment outcomes. The position requires strong knowledge of specialty pharmacy operations, payer requirements, and patient support services while maintaining compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
