About The Position

We support patients requiring specialty drugs through patient support programs, provide physicians with resources, facilitate reimbursement, and enhance patient compliance. We deliver superior customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and pharmaceutical manufacturers to improve healthcare outcomes. This role is responsible for ensuring escalations from SPN pharmacies are managed successfully and timely, working effectively with short lead times and changing customer demands. The position requires acting in a diplomatic and professional manner, maintaining patient confidentiality as per Shoppers Drug Mart policy and legal requirements.

Requirements

College or University degree
Experience in the pharmacy, healthcare or reimbursement industry (2 to 3 years minimum)
A team player with the desire to provide superior customer care and store support
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Strong computer skills in a Windows environment using MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Nice To Haves

Bilingual (French & English) is an asset
Pharmacy Assistant or Technician with Assyst Rx, HealthWATCH, New HealthWATCH, and/or Kroll experience is an asset
Experience with a Customer Relationship Management tool, such as Siebel is an asset

Responsibilities

Work closely with Pharmacy team members and manufacturer programs to provide SPN Support.
Offer support to SPN Pharmacies relating to patient self-injection training.
Coordinate with external partners to effectively facilitate the dispensing of prescriptions at all SPN Pharmacies.
Provide support to all SPN pharmacy staff for procurement, reimbursement, processing of claims and scheduling/shipping deliveries related to specialty medications.
Manage escalations from SPN pharmacies successfully and timely.
Act in a diplomatic and professional manner, maintaining patient confidentiality.
