Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician
About The Position
The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 2 supports Pharmacists in Specialty Rx medication preparation by dispensing Specialty Rx medications. The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Perform computations. Typically work on semi-routine assignments. The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 2 ensures inventory levels are adequate for dispensing by working with inventory supply team. Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing. Follow standard practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation.
Requirements
- Active and current Florida State Registered Pharmacy Technician license
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to stand for 10 hours
Nice To Haves
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification, ExCPT or PTCB
- Specialty pharmacy experience
- Retail pharmacy experience
Responsibilities
- Supports Pharmacists in Specialty Rx medication preparation by dispensing Specialty Rx medications.
- Performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments.
- Performs computations.
- Ensures inventory levels are adequate for dispensing by working with inventory supply team.
- Trains and uses mobile equipment, lifts employees on mobile equipment.
