About The Position

We are seeking a Specialty Lines Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for new business auto, umbrella, inland marine, etc. quoting and creating proposals. You will focus on accurately processing quotes and preparing proposals, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently within established priority timelines. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. We are looking for a motivated individual eager to grow while managing tasks under pressure.

Requirements

• Must have a strong eye for detail, ensuring all tasks, quotes, and proposals are completed accurately without errors.
• Able to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects at once.
• Capable of identifying issues and finding solutions to improve efficiency and workflow.
• Must be comfortable and clear in communication with team members.
• Willing to collaborate with the team, help when needed, and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Eager to take initiative, learn new skills, and take ownership of tasks without constant supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in insurance or a related field is a plus.
• Proficiency in using tools like Salesforce, PL Rater, and Microsoft Suite tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete quoting, and proposal tasks within designated priority timelines
• Work closely with in-office and offshore teams to ensure a seamless workflow.
• Double-check all quotes, proposals, and documents to ensure complete accuracy and prevent errors.
• Actively identify and recommend process improvements to streamline workflows and reduce mistakes.
• Engage in professional development through reading, training, and participation in team meetings.
