About The Position

The Specialty Gas Operator position is considered safety sensitive work. This role involves working in an environment that requires specific safety certifications and the ability to handle potentially hazardous materials and conditions. The operator will be responsible for various tasks related to specialty gases, including operating equipment, maintaining certifications, and adhering to strict safety protocols.

Requirements

Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
One (1) to three (3) years related experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic computer skills including functionality in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to successfully certify and maintain Operator certification and Emergency Squad Certification as required by policy.
Ability to obtain and maintain HWP signer certification.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Frequently lift and/or move up to one hundred (100) pounds.
Frequently climb ladders and stairs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Personal protective safety equipment and Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and bunker gear are required to be used during emergency procedures.
Average aerobic capacity is required for E-Squad members.
