As a Field Technician, you’ll be responsible for performing inspections on various types of facilities in the Oil and Gas Industry to identify and quantify hydrocarbon gas leaks and vents. In addition to primary project responsibilities, this role may contribute to other projects or operational areas as business needs evolve. Flexibility and a willingness to support cross-functional initiatives are essential. This role is part-time temporary with no guarantee of hours, but has current work available. Project Pay Rate: $17/hr training time, $25/hr project pay. Requirements

  • Experience in Oil and Gas Industry (preference given to candidates with natural gas processing/transmission facility experience)
  • Effective computer skills (Excel and Microsoft Office are essential) and profeciency with Android OS
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts (days only)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Nice To Haves

  • Natural gas processing/transmission facility experience
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology or applicable technical degree/diploma
  • Related work experience in hydrocarbon detection and measurement, LDAR, instrumentation or stack emission testing
  • Mechanical background

Responsibilities

  • Performing inspections on various types of facilities in the Oil and Gas Industry to identify and quantify hydrocarbon gas leaks and vents.
  • Assisting in coordinating and navigating to various facilities with maps and GPS.
  • Calibrating and maintaining equipment.
  • Using various detection and measurement technologies under the supervision of the Team Lead.
  • Collecting and recording emission data.
  • Preparing field reports as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
