Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant specialty experience (5+ years ideal).
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with diesel engines, generators, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience repairing and maintaining construction or specialty equipment, including generators, diesel pumps, power equipment, air compressors, HVAC, and heavy equipment.
  • Ability to work independently in the field and make sound troubleshooting and repair decisions without constant supervision.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a clean MVR required.
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory, including DFW, Central Texas, and Oklahoma, with occasional overnight travel.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and respond to changing customer and business needs.
  • Basic computer skills for work orders, parts ordering, service documentation, and communication.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, integrity, and a team-first mindset are essential.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Generac, Cummins, Kohler, Caterpillar, or similar equipment.
  • Military experience with relevant equipment maintenance or mechanical experience.
  • Backgrounds in diesel, oil and gas, oil field, automotive, construction, industrial maintenance, HVAC, military, or heavy equipment.
  • EPA 608 certification.
  • DOT Medical Card.
  • TWIC.
  • Generator training or manufacturer-specific certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair equipment to manufacturer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel engines, generators, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Repair and maintain construction or specialty equipment, including generators, diesel pumps, power equipment, air compressors, HVAC, and heavy equipment.
  • Work independently in the field and make sound troubleshooting and repair decisions without constant supervision.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory, including DFW, Central Texas, and Oklahoma, with occasional overnight travel.
  • Respond to changing customer and business needs.
  • Utilize basic computer skills for work orders, parts ordering, service documentation, and communication.
  • Take ownership of a repair from diagnosis through completion.
