The role of the Process Control Level 1 Technician/Engineer is to work with the Process Control, Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance and Production teams to maintain and optimize the Hot/Cold Mill process control equipment. This will include using engineering principles, algorithms and techniques to trouble-shoot and improve both the process and equipment and to develop/implement future improvement plans. This will include both hardware and software and may require additional support outside normal business hours. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Associate Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
  • Four years industrial maintenance experience
  • Ability to rapidly understand complex control systems
  • Proven ability to take ownership for complex projects

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Hot/Cold sheet rolling knowledge/experience
  • Four year or Advanced engineering degree
